Iranian director Mostafa Kiaee plans to produce a series based on the Plasco tragedy in Tehran.
A media report on Saturday said production stage for the series ‘My Layla’ is to kick off on October, adding the project focuses on Plasco building, one of Tehran's iconic structures collapsing after a massive blaze in January 2017.
Mostafa Kiaee was quoted by the media as saying ‘My Leila’ is a melodrama and can pique the audience's interest.
Mostafa Kiaee began his cinematic career in 1995.
He began studying Filmmaking in 1998 and started to work as an assistant director at the same time.
After graduating in 2003, his continued his career as a writer, director and editor.
He has directed some popular films, including ‘Barcode’, ‘Hotline’ (2014) and ‘Ice Age’ (2015).
